Juniper EX2200 LACP between two separate Virtual Chassis stacks JunOS

NOTES really to myself here but might prove useful to other people:
These notes were determined using Juniper's technical documentation and a setup of EX2200 switches in virtual chassis configs (2 sets of 2 switches in virtual chassis) running JunOS 12.3R6.6

When configuring LACP on EX2200 - you HAVE to apply this command (to create the ae interfaces) or it just don't care for your LACP LAG.

set chassis aggregated-devices ethernet device-count X

Where X is the  number of LACP interfaces you need.
E.g.
If your current plan is two LACP groups:
ae0
ae1
Set "X" to 2
In future, if you need more interfaces, increase this number.
By setting this field and committing, it creates these interfaces.

If you configure an aeX without this command there at all - it will appear in your...
show configure | display set | match ae
...but will NOT appear in your...
show lacp interfaces
It also won't form a LACP connection and will leave you scratching your head.
I believe that you don't need this in higher level model EX switches but if someone says you do with evidence or if I read up about it in future dealings, I'll update this.

EXAMPLE CONFIGS from two stacks (2 x virtual chassis of 2 x EX2200 each):
Note that you need not configure the minimum-links option for 1, I understand it is automatically default of 1. But this command could be useful for a LACP connection with many interfaces and you don't want the link to remain up if it drops below a certain number of links. Possibly useful for redundant links such as Redundant Trunk Groups (I have yet to use/configure these so I am uncertain of the config and whether it would work with this sort of setup).
STACK ONE:
set interfaces ge-1/1/0 ether-options 802.3ad ae0
set interfaces ge-0/1/0 ether-options 802.3ad ae0
set chassis aggregated-devices ethernet device-count 1
set interfaces ae0 description "UPLINK TO STACK TWO"
set interfaces ae0 mtu 9216
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options minimum-links 1
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options lacp active
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options lacp periodic fast
set interfaces ae0 unit 0 family ethernet-switching port-mode trunk
set interfaces ae0 unit 0 family ethernet-switching vlan members all

STACK TWO:
set interfaces ge-1/1/0 ether-options 802.3ad ae0
set interfaces ge-0/1/0 ether-options 802.3ad ae0
set chassis aggregated-devices ethernet device-count 1
set interfaces ae0 description "UPLINK TO STACK ONE"
set interfaces ae0 mtu 9216
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options minimum-links 1
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options lacp active
set interfaces ae0 aggregated-ether-options lacp periodic fast
set interfaces ae0 unit 0 family ethernet-switching port-mode trunk
set interfaces ae0 unit 0 family ethernet-switching vlan members all

USEFUL COMMANDS TO CHECK THINGS:
show lacp interfaces
show interfaces terse | display set | match ae

I may add more to this post if and when I discover relevant info.
